Keyser volleyball falls to Legacy Christian Academy

After their big win against county-rival Frankfort on Tuesday night to elevate their early record to 2-1, the Keyser Lady Tornado dropped a match 3-0 on Thursday to Legacy Christian Academy to even their record at 2-2.

Despite dropping the match three games to zero, all three games were close and competitive. Game one went to Legacy 25-22, game two went in favor of the visitors 25-20, and game three also went to Legacy 25-19.

Offensively, Keyser was led by Kaelyn Kesner with 14 points (5 aces) and 6 assists, and Gini Breedlove who added 8 points (6 aces). The defense was equally spread with Gini Breedlove, Saige Miller and Rebekah Biser all picking up 6 digs a piece.  Kaitlin Heavener also added 4 blocks. 

Legacy also won the junior varsity contest by a score of two games to zero. The junior Tornado was led by Maddie Rhodes who earned 3 kills and one block, and Lily Saville who stood out on defense with four digs.

Keyser (2-2) will next host Berkeley Springs on Monday, Sep. 21.
