Jennings Randolph Lake offers fun with water safety

Rangers with the Army Corps of Engineers hand out t-shirts to some of the young participants in the seventh annual Water Safety Festival held Saturday at Shaw Beach on Jennings Randolph Lake. Co-sponsored by the Army Corps and Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake and also involving West Virginia DNR Police, Elk District Ambulance of Elk Garden and Kitzmiller Swift Water Rescue Team, the festival brought approximately 250 people to the lake, where they could enjoy paddle boats, a bounce house, slip-n-slide, water balloon games, and food. Bobber the Water Safety Dog even made an appearance.
Approximately 250 people came out to the seventh annual Water Safety Festival held Saturday at Jennings Randolph Lake. Activities included swimming at Shaw Beach and learning how to be safe on and in the water.
