Two found dead in Quail Valley

KEYSER - A call from family members who had not heard from two residents of Quail Valley in awhile led to the discovery of their bodies in their Bobwhite Drive residence.

According to West Virginia State Police, who investigated the incident, the Keyser Detachment was dispatched by Mineral County 911 at approximately 12:06 p.m. Thursday for a wellbeing check.

Family members advised they had not heard from the female at that location and requested assistance.

Access was made into the residence, where troopers discovered the deceased bodies of Michelle L. Butts, age 48, and Brian L. Price, age 54.

The Troop 2 Crime Scene Response Team responded to assist in processing the scene.

Both bodies were sent to the West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsies.

The investigation continues pending the results of the autopsies.
