Roger Ray Eversole

Rawlings, MD - Roger Ray Eversole, 70, of Rawlings, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland, MD.

Born on March 3, 1951 in Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late Raymond and Texia (Davis) Eversole.

Roger was a proud 1969 graduate of Bruce High School. He retired from the WV Army National Guard after 23 years of service, serving in Desert Storm in 1990. He also worked at Penn Ventilator, WV Department of Highways and the MD State Highway Administration.

Throughout his life, Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles and being an all around jokester. He also was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles, Post 13, American Legion, Cumberland, the Cumberland Democrat Club, ABATE of Western Maryland, Lodge # 662, Loyal Order of Moose, Keyser and was a lifetime member of Queen's Point Memorial Post # 6775, VFW, McCoole, MD.

Surviving is his loving wife, Connie L. (Evans) Eversole; his sons, Roger Scott Eversole and Michael Lynn Eversole and special friend, Erin; a special grandson, Dylan Eversole; two stepdaughters, Angela Cooey and wife Pam and Michelle Grogg and husband Roger; a sister, Virginia Davis and a niece, Renee DiManno.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be in the Waxler Cemetery, Rawlings. Graveside military honors will be accorded by Post 13, American Legion Honor Guard and the WVANG Honor Guard.
