Johnie A. Lewis, Sr.

Keyser - Johnie A. Lewis, Sr., 62, of Virginia Street, Keyser, WV, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born on August 21, 1959 in Terra Alta, WV, he was a son of the late Everett Lewis and Erma Jane (Keefer) Lewis Davy. Twice married, he was preceded in death by both wives, Leigh Anne (Bishop) Lewis and Donna Lou (Viney) Lewis; three brothers, Robert, Arthur and Everett "Bub" Lewis, Jr. and a sister, Lorraine Duckworth.

Mr. Lewis was a 1977 graduate of Keyser High School and was formerly employed as a lineman with C. W. Wright. He was a member of Lodge # 662, Loyal Order of Moose, Keyser.

Surviving are his children, Johnie A. Lewis, Jr. and Trisha L. Mongold and husband Nathan, all of Keyser; three step children, Holly Sulser of Rawlings, MD, Joyce Viney of Westernport, MD and Tracy Torgent and husband JR of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Ryleigh Ann Lewis, Sean Tyler Rosedale, Piper Leighann Mongold and Dessel Hearl Mongold and several step grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Thomas Lewis, Willie Lewis, Sam Lewis and Ed Davy, all of Keyser and five sisters, Erma Mae Eversole, Lena Bray and Mary Delawder, all of Keyser and Dottie Gruber and Susan Lewis, both of Moorefield, WV.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 3-5 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 5:00 p.m. with Ed Davy officiating.

Private inurnment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
