Jean Marie Dettinburn

Keyser - Our beloved Mother, Jean Marie Dettinburn, 80, of "E" Street, Keyser, WV, went to be with our Lord and her husband of 48 years on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born on November 28, 1940 in Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late Creed Nathaniel and Mabel Juanita (Sears) Parish. On June 29, 1959, she married Michael C. Dettinburn and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2007. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise G. Black and E. Juanita Duckworth; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Holderby; a close friend, Lora Barbera and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dettinburn loved camping with her husband, puzzles, watching reality TV, but most of all she loved her family. That is what she lived for.

Surviving are her three children, Cathy Sue Willis of Fort Ashby, WV and Michael Troy Dettinburn and Lisa Ann Citarelli, both of Keyser; four grandchildren, Jared Nathaniel, James Martin, Kiersten Jean and "special" granddaughter, Megan Webb. She also has two beautiful great granddaughters, Margo Maria and Alora Jean. She was loved by all who met her and was a good mother, a loving sister to Anna Virginia Stewart and a life long friend to both Cressie Melia and Rose Phillips.

At Mrs. Dettinburn's request, services will be private for the family.

The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.

Condolences and personal reflections to the family may be left after Mrs. Dettinburn's obituary at smithfuneralhomes.net.
