Chandra Fay Kerns

Keyser - Chandra Fay (League) Kerns, 68, of Keyser, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her residence.

Born on November 18, 1952 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the Leslie Liton League, Sr. and Amelia "Millie" (Dale) League. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Baker, Sharon Flores and Frances Stewart and a brother, Ronald League.

Chandra was a 1970 graduate of Bruce High School. She donated much of her time working with charity and religious organizations. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved creating art and crafts, whether it was by crocheting, painting drawing or knitting. Se also was an amazing chess player who never lost a match due to inconvenient explosive allergies. In addition to collecting and learning new things, Chandra was an avid Jurassic Park fan; no marathon went unwatched.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 36 years, William H. Kerns; her children, James L. Riggs, Jr. of Keyser, Karen D. Davidson and husband Steve of Rawlings, MD, Eric F. Riggs and wife Sherry of Mount Savage, MD and Jennifer N. Olson and husband Shane of Gilbert, AZ; a brother, Leslie L. league, Jr. and wife Bini of Chesterfield, MO; two sisters, Mary G. George and husband Robert of Cumberland and Donna K. Pruitt and husband Willie of Frostburg, MD; three sisters-in-law, Judith Blackburn and Betty Sutherland, both of Westernport, MD and Debra Miller of Houston, Texas and a brother-in-law, Ronald Kerns and wife Sindi of Martinsburg, WV. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Justin Ridings, D'Sean Hall, Stephanie Riggs, Bethany Rooney, Alex Ridings and fiancee Kiersten Citarelli, James Riggs, Mark Clark, Vanessa Riggs, Donovan Hall and Isabelle Olson; three great-grandchildren, Alora Ridings, Zariah Hall and Ciara Hall as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

At Mrs. Kerns' request, there will be no visitation or services.

The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, WV, is in charge of the arrangements.
