Burlington - Annette Susan Barbe, 57, of Upper Patterson Creek Road, Burlington, WV, died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Born on September 12, 1963 in Frostburg, MD, she was a daughter of Sharon Ann (Johnson) Wilhelm of Lonaconing, MD. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roger Francis Wilhelm and a daughter, Olivia Nicole Paxton.

Annette was a 1981 graduate of Valley High School in Lonaconing and worked with her husband in the day to day operation of Patterson Creek Apiary in Burlington. She faithfully attended the First Baptist Church in Burlington. She loved sewing, taking care of and being with of all of her family and watching Bub at his ball games.

Surviving, in addition to her mother is her husband of 11 years, William Edward Barbe, Jr.; her children, Bre Scholton and husband Curtis of Martinsburg, WV, Jessie Fout and husband Benjamin of Moorefield, WV, Cassie Ours of Fisher, WV and William E. "Bub" Barbe, III of Burlington; six grandchildren, Maddox, Avery, Peyton and Sadie Fout and Warren and Lincoln Ours. Also surviving are two sisters, Wendy Wilson and husband Jim of Swanton, MD and Mary Ann Smith and husband Mike of Lonaconing; a brother, Roger Wilhlem, Jr. and wife Vangie of Illinois; nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Wayne Wilson and Lauren, Haley, Samantha, Jayme and Molly Smith; grandnieces and nephews, Ava Daum, Adalyn Wilson and Celina and Patrick Wilhelm and her father-in-law, William "Eddie" Barbe of Burlington.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Caldwell, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be in the Elijah Cemetery Cemetery, Purgitsville, WV.
