KEYSER - The Mineral County Chamber of Commerce will soon be honoring some of the county’s best and brightest at the 2020 Summit Awards banquet.
Scheduled this year for Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Brookedale Farms near Fort Ashby, the awards honor businesses, non-profits, and individuals for their hard work and dedication to the county. Awards include Leader of the Year, the Community Service Award, Non-Profit of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, Large Business of the Year, and Small Business of the Year.
Honorees are nominated and chosen by members of the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber president Randy Crane said he is hoping for a nice turnout for the event.
“So much this year has been put on hold, cancelled, or diminished, including most chamber events. We are all ready to return to any sense of normalcy we can,” he said.
Dinner will be provided by Good Carna Catering.
Tickets are $20 and are now available and can be reserved at the chamber website, www.mineralchamber.com, or by calling the chamber at 304-788-2513.
Table sponsorships are available, in which a business will receive eight tickets and a table sign, for $250.
Deadline for table sponsorships is Oct. 7, and deadline for individual tickets is Oct. 14.
The 2020 Summit Awards are being sponsored by WVU Potomac Valley Hospital.
Attendees are being asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
