KEYSER - Assistant principal Orie Pancione will be recommended next week for the position as principal at Frankfort High School.

The position will come open in October when current principal Joe Riley retires.

Pancione has been assistant principal under Riley for the past year, having stepped into the job vacated when long-time assistant Kelly Haines moved to the county office to serve as director of curriculum and instruction for secondary schools and career and technical education.

Pancione is on the agenda for approval at the May 19 board of education meeting.
