KEYSER - Keyser High School and the Keyser Rotary Club have announced the three nominees for the 2020 Katharine Church Award - Marissa Guy, Courtney Minnich and Allison Jones.
The award, named in memory of long-time musician, educator and community servant the late Katharine Church, recognizes three senior females who have successfully participated in high school athletics for at least two years, who have maintained a 3.0 grade point average or better, and who serve as a positive role model for underclasswomen and a positive representative of Keyser High School.
The award is traditionally given during a banquet hosted by the Keyser Rotary Club, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the banquet in the Davis Center on the campus of Potomac State College has been cancelled.
According to award chairperson Dinah Courrier, the Rotary Club has not yet decided a time or location for the awards program, but there will definitely be a presentation.
Further details will be announced as they become available.
