CARPENDALE – Former Carpendale commissioner Diana Baker will be unopposed on the June ballot for mayor as filing for the June election ended Tuesday.

CARPENDALE – Former Carpendale commissioner Diana Baker will be unopposed on the June ballot for mayor as filing for the June election ended Tuesday.
Current mayor Casey Lambert recently announced that he will not seek re-, as he plans to retire.
On the ballot for the five council seats are incumbents Butch Armentrout, Mary Jo Hinton and Virgil O’Neal, joined by Rev. Ken Hamilton, Todd Riggleman and Denny Mickey.
The Carpendale Town Hall is closed in accordance with Governor Jim Justice’s executive order and will resume normal operations once the “stay at home order” is rescinded.
Residents with water or sewer emergencies are asked to call 301–707–0028 or 301–707-0600. Bills can be paid in the drop box at town hall or can be mailed to the address on the back of the bill.
The regularly scheduled council meeting for April 7 has been cancelled.
