CHARLESTON - Gov. Jim Justice has announced the first  case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in West Virginia has been confirmed.
According to the Governor, who made the announcement during an address to the state at 6 p.m., the first case is in the Eastern Panhandle. He did not divulge where.
In addition, the Governor announced he will be closing restaurants, bars and casinos throughout the state, although those that provide carryout may still do so.
