KEYSER - A second arrest has been made in connection with the double homicide Monday in Burlington.
According to the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department, Michael Paul Duncan, 29, of Capon Bridge was arrested Thursday on a warrant executed by the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Department.
Mineral County deputies had previously arrested Jimmy Lee Lambert, 33, of Stephens City, Virginia, in connection with the early-morning shooting that resulted in the death of Donald L. Rutter, 32, and Destiny Foster, 25, at a residence on Maple Hollow Lane, just off Route 50 year Burlington.
Rutter had been found deceased at the residence from apparent gunshot wounds and Foster, who was transported by ambulance to WVU Potomac Valley Hospital and later to Ruby Memorial Hospital, succumbed later to her wounds as well.
Both Duncan and Lambert were charged with two counts each of first degree murder.
