KEYSER - Volunteers are needed on Thursday, Oct. 10, for the annual United Way Day of Caring & Sharing.
CUW is seeking volunteer teams to come together throughout Mineral County to help community organizations, and schools clean and spruce up their properties.
Want to help? Teams and individuals can participate. Just contact CUW and they will send you the information on registering your team and the project list so you can choose your work site from the various beautification projects listed. Potential volunteers should contact the United Way no later than Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Each year over 100 volunteers complete projects for partners of United Way such as the Tri-Towns After School Program, Foster Grandparents, Development Center & Workshop, Mineral County Schools, and the Town of Piedmont. Projects include painting, gardening, trash pick-up and more.
Sponsorship for the event has been provided by Northrop Grumman.
For more information, contact Juli McCoy, executive director, at 301-722-2700.
