LEWISBURG, W.Va. - The Pony Express 4-H Club represented Mineral County astoundingly at the West Virginia State Faiar 4H/FFA Horse and Pony Show on Thursday Aug. 8, 2019.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, members Kaelin Collage, Addison Cross, Cora Redman, Kyleigh Faith and Kourtney Browning and their families headed to Lewisburg to showcase their equestrian skills at the State Fair.  The countless hours of practice and preparation paid off, with Mineral County showing well at the event.
Kaelin and her horse Sha Daisy brought home Reserve Grand Champion in the Ranch Riding category.
Addison showed Rascal Sunsation and obtained Grand Champion in the Junior English division.
Cora riding So Straight Laced “Sophie” was awarded Reserve Grand Champion in Junior Western Pleasure.
Kyleigh on Sho Me the Money “Sweetie” won Grand Champion for the Novice English Division.
Kourtney Browning, unfortunately, was not able to show due to a late onset injury of her horse Ginger.
Walker is the club’s #1 Barn Boy and the girl’s right-hand man.
