KEYSER - The Mineral County Day Committee is searching for the next Mineral County Day honoree.  
The person selected each year is honored on Mineral County Day at the State Capitol in Charleston, with presentations on both the House and Senate floors.
The committee is accepting nominees until Sept. 20, 2019.  The Mineral County Day Committee will select this year’s honoree and notify the honoree and/or the person submitting the nomination.  
Each nomination should include the name of the nominee, a statement of why this person should be recognized, and include a separate bio of no more than 300 words.  
The criteria for the honoree should include at least one of the following:
1. Individuals who--over the course of their lifetime--have brought recognition to Mineral County and/or the State of West Virginia through their gifts, talents, service or achievements.
2. Individuals who have spent much of their lifetime devoted to improving the quality of life in Mineral County and/or the State of West Virginia through their acts or service. (Those acts of service should be above and beyond what was expected in their normal professional responsibilities.)
3. Individuals who are residents or past residents of Mineral County who have distinguished themselves on the world stage through their accomplishments.
