RIDGELEY – Familiar faces are returning to the Ridgeley town council as former mayors and council members Butch Hawse and Jim Twigg won seats on the council in Tuesday's election.

RIDGELEY – Familiar faces are returning to the Ridgeley town council as former mayors and council members Butch Hawse and Jim Twigg won seats on the council in Tuesday’s election.

In the council race, Hawse received 34 votes, followed by Don McFarland with 33 votes, Nick Imes with 30 votes, and Duke Lantz with 29 votes.

Twigg unseated Commissioner Tanya Ryan with 23 votes to her 22 votes to gain his seat on the council.

Ridgeley Mayor Mark Jones received 39 votes in his unopposed in his bid for re-election.

The town council is scheduled to hold its next meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 18 at the town hall.
