KEYSER - Graduates tossed their caps in the air to celebrate reaching the first major educational milestone in their lives Saturday evening as Keyser High School held commencement exercises on the field at Alumni Stadium.

KEYSER - Graduates tossed their caps in the air to celebrate reaching the first major educational milestone in their lives Saturday evening as Keyser High School held commencement exercises on the field at Alumni Stadium.
Principal Lois Spencer presided over her first graduation and   the guest speaker was graduate Matthew Staudt.
Co-salutatorians Kyle Breedlove and Morgan Foutz and valedictorian Zoe Litten each gave addresses during the ceremony.
Matthew Bane introduced the class officers and foreign exchange students.
Superintendent Shawn Dilly, in his last Mineral County graduation ceremony, pronounced the seniors graduated and Spencer and assistant principal T.J. Connor presented them with their diplomas.
Senior Emily Hickle led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Makenna Staggers gave closing remarks at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the KHS Concert Band, under the direction of Suzanne Warrick.
Marshals for the traditional graduate march onto the field were Aaron Boggs, Marissa Guy, Katie Hardy, Autumn Heavener, Molly Kephart and Liza Litten.
