PETERSBURG — The fourth and fifth suspects have been arrested for a homicide last last year at the Petersburg East Apartments.
Yolanda Beasley was taken into custody by Petersburg detectives without incident on Monday night. Beasley has been charged with being an accessory after the fact in the homicide and is being held without bond at Riverside Jail.
Petersburg police also arrested Deena A. Gray on Tuesday for the same homicide. Gray has been charged with first degree homicide, conspiracy and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She was held without bond.
Police were called to the 100 block of Croatan Drive at 1:47 a.m. Dec. 28, 2018, where the 21-year-old victim, Demonta Adkins, was found with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later that day, police arrested Danasia Gray and Sacorra Anthony in connection with the case.
A third suspect, identified as Jason Ramon Lee, was arrested April 29 by U.S. marshals in Fayetteville, N.C. Lee faces charges of murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit murder.
