KEYSER - The last day of school for Mineral County students is now Tuesday, June 11.
The Mineral County Board of Education has approved the addition of three instructional days to this year’s calendar to make up for days lost due to weather and the teachers’ work stoppage.
The last day of school for students was originally Thursday, June 6, although students could legally have been in school until the end of June if additional make-up days were needed.
Students will first be feeling the after-effects of their snow days later this month, however, The board had previously approved changing three spring break days (April 24-26) to instructional days to make up for the snow days earlier in the year.
Students now only have Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19, and Monday, April 22, off for Easter. April 18 is a day for teachers to report to work, however.
June 12 is now the last day for teachers.

NOTE: The previous story was updated to include a correction that students are also off on Thursday, April 18.
