CUMBERLAND - The Cumberland Valley Optimist Club recently recognized Keyser High School seniors Zoe Litten and Kyle Breedlove at their Youth Appreciation program.

CUMBERLAND - The Cumberland Valley Optimist Club recently recognized Keyser High School seniors Zoe Litten and Kyle Breedlove at their Youth Appreciation program.
Zoe Litten, Keyser High School valedictorian, is the daughter of James B. Litten and Shelley Flaugher and has a GPA of 4.5.
Her scholastic achievements include Academic, Science, Math, National and National Technical Honor Societies; Society of Tourch and Laurel; National Society of High School Scholars and she is currently a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship.
Zoe is also a Goldsworthy Scholar.
She has spent three years in the marching and concert bands, and a year in tennis, jazz band, band guard, winter guard and Student Council.
In the community, Zoe has volunteered for Energy Express for two years, Operation Christmas Child for a year, the Robin Mussen Memorial Garden Restoration and the Red Cross Blood Drive.
She had participated in dance for six years and summer programs for future medical leaders for two years.
Zoe has earned the American Legion Oratorical Scholarship, the Promise Scholarship and will study at West Virginia University.
Kyle Breedlove, Keyser High School co-salutatorian, is the son of Kara and Rel Breedlove. He has a GPA of 4.34.
His scholastic achievements include Academic Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Science Honor Society. He is a Goldsworthy recipient and placed third in Mineral County Math Field Day.
He has participated in golf, track and bowling.
Kyle is also a member of the Keyser Krazies, the school spirit club.
In the community, he plays church league basketball and volunteers for the Keyser Cyclones. He has earned the Promise Scholarship, EQT Excellence Scholarship at the county level and plans to study computer science in college.
