KEYSER - The Potomac State College/Community Jazz Ensemble will present a big band jazz concert tonight at 7:30 PM in the Church-McKee Arts Center on the campus of Potomac State College of West Virginia University.  The band, which is under the direction of Fred Kesner, rehearses weekly at the college and is comprised of the area’s finest jazz musicians.
A highlight of this year’s spring concert is the band’s performance of Buddy Rich’s arrangement of “West Side Story” featuring Bart Lay on drums, Will Nose on trombone, and Dr. Brent Weber playing tenor sax.  Also appearing with the band as guest vocalist is Mary Hott, a PSC alumnus from Berkeley Springs.
The concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend and support the live performance of jazz and big band music in our community.
