KEYSER - The Mineral County Board of Education on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Keyser High School principal Mike Lewis.
Lewis, of Frostburg, has been principal at KHS since July 2015.
He is resigning to accept a position as principal of Moundsville Middle School in the state’s Northern Panhandle. He was hired for the position by the Marshall County Board of Education during their Feb. 27 meeting.
Dr. Jeffrey Crook, former assistant superintendent of Mineral County Schools, was also just hired as superintendent for Marshall County. He served as superintendent in Hampshire County since leaving Mineral.
Lewis’ resignation was on the consent agenda for the board’s Tuesday meeting and was therefore included in a blanket vote for a large number of personnel items with no comment.
His resignation will become effective June 30.
