KEYSER--The Golden Tornado had to turn up the pressure on Allegany just to stay competitive Tuesday night, but couldn't get the shots to fall, and withered against a physically superior Campers squad by a 67-42 final. Cam White led all scorers with 17 while Cade Staggers hit four threes to finish with 14 points for Keyser, but the rest of the team was cold, with nobody else making more than a singe basket. Allegany had four in double-figures, led by 15 from Sean Rhodes, while Justin Copman had 14, Triston Eirich had four threes to finish with 12 points, and Tyrae Barmore scored 10 for the Campers, who didn't have a great shooting night but were able to dominate inside well enough to take away rebounds that could have kept Keyser in the ballgame.

Both teams had the hustle turned to full, but a pair of threes from Rhodes and Eirich helped push the Campers to an early lead. After scoring the first basket--and being tied at six each with 4:09 to go--Keyser went scoreless the rest of the quarter, and Allegany stretched the lead out to 18-6 before the Tornado put another basket in courtesy of a layup from Deavonta Johnson to open scoring in the second quarter. The Campers scored the next seven points to stretch the lead out further, and despite three threes from Keyser the Allegany lead was up to 37-21 at the half. Staggers hit two of those threes, and hit another one a minute into the third quarter as he scored the first five points of the second half, but after a nice one-hand basket from White cute the lead down to 42-29 with 5:11 to go, another Cam White layup would be the only points scored by Keyser the rest of the period as Allegany got three triples from Eirich to pace a 18-5 run that pushed their lead to 55-31 after the third quarter. The final frame opened in a familiar fashion, with White scoring the first basket and the Campers scoring the next three to put the game out of reach.

Keyser did get the upper hand in the undercard, winning the JV game 47-37 behind 15 points from Jack White and 14 from Dylan See. The Tornado next travel to Oakland on Friday night to face Southern Garrett.
