KEYSER - The Mineral Daily News Tribune will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of Mineral County with a fun day for everyone on Saturday, June 11.
The News Tribune, which has been a part of Mineral County for the past 104 years, will be hosting a cruise-in and vendor event in the parking lot around the office at 21 Shamrock Dr. (across from Pizza Hut).
Vehicles of all makes and models are invited to participate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dash plaques will be available, along with the traditional bragging rights that come with showing off your beautifully restored ride.
Vendor spaces (15x12 feet) are available and applications are being accepted  now until the day of the event. For only $15 per spot, vendors may sell arts and crafts, collectibles, flea market items, yard sale items, food or whatever you might have to share.
Please note: There will be no electricity provided and vendors must supply their own tables, canopies, etc.
Music will be provided and plans are to have funnel cakes for sale and well as other festival-style foods.
Rain date for the show and sale is Sunday, June 12.
For further information, or to sign up to participate, call 304-788-3333 Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and ask for Kelly.
The News Tribune is being joined in sponsorship of this event by several area businesses - Fox’s Pizza/Chester’s Chicken of Keyser, E&S Promotions, the Wepco Federal Credit Union, NAPA Auto Parts, Timbrook Chevrolet and Timbrook Ford, along with the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce.
The News Tribune will also be kicking off a two-week food drive for the Faith in Action Food Pantry on the day of the cruise-in. Everyone is invited to stop by, check out the vehicles and vendors, and drop off a non-perishable food item or two.
Donations will continue to be accepted at the NT office for the next two weeks, and will be delivered to Faith in Action by News Tribune staff members.
