KEYSER -- The Minor League of the Keyser Little League held its own season-ending all star games on Saturday at Mill Meadow Park.
The first game of the day slated the 9-year-old players from the Minor League against one another. A well played game ended with a score of 5-4, with Jesse Smith being the winning pitcher. Leading hitters for the game were as follows: Brady Ours with a 2-RBI triple, Jacob Perry with a double, Logan Staggs with a 2-RBI single, and Austin Kitzmiller, Wade Spencer, Samuel Perry, Ryan Spencer, and Dylan Thorne, all with singles.
The second game was for the 10-year olds, and involved a little more scoring, ending up at 8-5.
Dalton Wilt was the winning pitcher and helped his own cause by stroking a double and a three-run homer. Matthew Liller smacked three hits for the winners, including a triple off of his brother. Tyler Fraley and Wade Greason added singles to the winning cause. Caden Staggers led the losing team with a two-run triple, while Jonah Bean, Camden White, and Bailey Yaider each singled.
