KEYSER—The Potomac State basketball teams went two-for-two last night in Lough Gymnasium, as both the men and women won by convincing margins over the visiting Butler Pioneers.
PSC drew first blood in both contests, and neither Catamount squad trailed for even a second as each of the Pioneers’ teams were disposed of in just under three hours of basketball combined.
The Lady Cats (14-7) cruised on to a tenth consecutive “W” by way of their 92-42 dismantling of Butler’s short-handed ladies’ team, while the men (8-15) controlled things throughout in their 105-69 victory over BCCC.
Breanna Wright led the Cats’ offense in the front game of the double bill, as she came off of the Catamount bench for 18 points.
Chelsea Holcomb posted 16 for Potomac State and Brittany Skyles followed closely behind with 14.
For the Pioneers, Ashley Campbell went for 23 in her team’s losing efforts.
On the men’s slate, Darrell Patterson headed the PSC party with 19 points and he was backed by Jordan Brooks’ 16. Harley Brooks, Dalec Cromwell, Tyrone Smith, and Tyrell Hill also made it into double-figure scoring for the home team.
Brian Zoleznk was BCCC’s high-point man with 26 for the Pioneers.
Both Catamount teams will be back in Lough Gymnasium tomorrow, as the Cats welcome in Westmoreland County Community College.
