Little League action heats up in Keyser

KEYSER -- The Keyser Senior League Girls have started the season off with impressive wins over Hampshire and Hedgesville, with five straight victories. 
The girls have played some outstanding and nearly perfect defense along with some strong bats during this five game run. 
Seven of the 11 girls are batting over .300, with Samantha Hoban batting .643, Taylor Haggerty .533, Alicia Cuthbertson .467, Karly Harrison .429, and Brooke Mangold .412.
Meghan Anderson has handled the majority of the duties on the mound with 16 K's in 19 innings.
Katelyn Ray has thrown seven innings with four K's, and Samantha Hoban has two innings with  one K.
The Girls will be back in action at Keyser High on Tuesday  at 7 p.m. against Hampshire and then a doubleheader against Hedgesville Friday at Keyser High School.
Those games will be at 6 and 8 p.m.
