Frankfort Falcon softballers defeated Petersburg as Jasmine Morgan smacked a two-run home run and Kristi Salonish fired a three-hitter as Frankfort won its third-straight game the visiting Vikings 3-1.
Morgan’s homer came in the fourth inning and erased a 1-0 Petersburg lead. Rachal Alkire had an RBI double to account for the Falcons’ third run.
Petersburg’s second inning run was unearned on an error. Natasha Holstine had two singles and Maddi Shambaugh had a double as Frankfort (9-6) finished with seven hits. Salonish struck out three and walked one going the distance for the win. Petersburg’s Kayla Watts took the loss. Frankfort hosts Bishop Walsh next.
