Frankfort drops doubleheader to Northern

ACCIDENT,Md. -

Northern continued their winning ways in dominating Frankfort in a
doubleheader win that gives the top-rated Huskies 10 wins on the season and undefeated in the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference at Accident.  Northern scored 26 runs in combination of 26 hits and only needed five innings to win both games.
The Huskies took the first game 16-3 and the second 16-1.
Justin Rosenberger had the big hit in the first game, a three-run homer in the second inning, as Northern had fallen behind 2-0 before scoring all 16 runs in threeinnings.
Rosenberger hit a two-run single, and added another single to his totals.
Kyle Gillum had five runs batted in as well with a two-run triple.
Trey Beasom had two doubles and one RBI and Brandon Beachy an RBI  double and a
single. Dan Warnick finished with a two-run double. Beasom earned the win with seven strikeouts and three walks.  Jeff Conley had two of the Falcons three hits with a two-run home run in the first inning and a RBI double in the fifth.
In the night cap game Northern opened the third inning with taking advantage of seven errors committed by Frankfort and blasted in ten runs.  Warnick finished with an RBI double and a single, while Matt Sisler, Beasom, Beachy and Jeff Smith all had two singles.
Rosenberger hit a one-run single and added a second RBI on a sacrifice fly.
Pat Marchetti singled and scored Frankfort’s only run.
Frankfort travels to play Keyser this evening.
