Keyser softballers rebound over Rams

OAKLAND, Md. -

Keyser came back from a 7-5 deficit scoring five runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Southern 10-7, knotting a victory in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference. 
A pair of errors by Southern, a walk and well timed hits paced the Golden Tornado come-back. Kelsey Bacon led the attack with a two run single in the inning, Alicia Cuthbertson singled in another.
Brooke Mangold and Kayla Aldridge both had a pair of singles.
Lindsey Glotfelty led Southern with two singles and a double. 
In the bottom of the first inning Southern took a 2-0 lead , then widened the margin by 6-2 with four runs in the bottom of the second.
Keyser kept climbing back into the game scoring two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, Southern widen the gap with a run in the bottom of that inning.
Then in the top of the seventh, the Golden Tornado put the game away with a stunning five-run inning to put a cap on the game.
Keyser (5-11, 4-5 AMAC) will host Bishop Walsh next. Southern (3-4, 1-4) will travel to Northern.
