Kaitlyn Ray struck out eight in a complete-game shutout to lead Keyser over
Hampshire Thursday.
Along with her eight strike-outs, Ray allowed only five singles and walked two.
Shannon Paugh had three singles and one run batted in. Brooke Mangold had two runs
batted in with a double and a single, and Marlee Whitlock doubled home two runs.
Keyser suilt a 3-0 lead after the second inning, and made it 4-0 in the fifth before
adding five more runs in the sixth inning.
In earlier action this week, Keyser defeated Tucker County, 4-1, at Parsons.
Kayla Aldredge had the big hit for Keyser with a double, and Ray picked up the win
without allowing an earned run.
Carrie Bible had a double and single for Tucker County.
Keyser hosts Berkeley Springs in a doubleheader next.
