KEYSER - The wind was howling on Friday afternoon but the Falcons tennis squad was still able to find a way to flap their wings and flutter past Keyser 4-3.

In the #1 singles match Fatima Minhas had a difficult draw against Sara Brinsfield but Minhas was able to come away with victory winning 8-6 to give Keyser a point. Nicole Nelson won the #2 singles match 8-5 over Hannah Decker to give Frankfort a point. Macy Kile added another point to the Frankfort total defeating Mattea Gambini 8-4 in the #3 singles match.
Ashleigh Burgess took care of Frankfort’s Leah Itani 8-1 in the final singles match to even up the score 2-2. In the #1 doubles match Minhas & Decker claimed victory 8-5 over Sara Brinsfield and Avery Shanholtz  to give Keyser a 3-2 edge. The #2 double match was a back and forth battle but the combination of Nelson & Kile were able to get past Gambini & Burgess 8-6 to even up the score 3-3. The #3 doubles match decided the outcome of the overall contest and the Falcons team of Leah Itani & Abigail Gordon defeated Keyser’s combination of Joelle Miller & Sierra Rinard 8-3 to give Frankfort a narrow 4-3 match win.
