MCHENRY, Md.- Coming off a tough 63-81 loss against Niagara, Potomac State looked to rebound against the Mercyhurst Saints in the David K. Martin Classic at Garrett CC.

Mercyhurst jumped out to a quick lead 19-16, but the Catamounts made a comeback in the 2nd quarter to take the lead at halftime 40-38. At the end of the third quarter Mercyhurst managed to regain the lead 60-58. In the 4th quarter with the game hanging in balance and the clock winding down, Mercyhurst hit a last second shot to clinch the victory 84-82 over Potomac State.
Statistically Potomac State was led by Ramone Williams who nailed 8 two point field goals and 6 free throws for a total of 22 points. Sophomore Deon Tabb and freshman center Anthony Dean both dropped 16 points for the Catamounts. Frankfort High School graduate Tyler Shanholtz, hit 4 field goals and 2 free throws for a total of 10 points. Also scoring for Potomac State was Calvin Wilder who finished with 8 points, and Keon Lewis with 5 points.
The Mercyhurst Saints were led by Trent Watson who scored 17 points. Dalvin Hough hit a team high four 3 point field goals and finished the game with 14 points.
Aje Gore dropped 13 points for the Saints while his teammate Andrew Aiilore completed the game with 11 points.
Next up for the Potomac State Catamounts is a road game on Wednesday November 29th,  in Rockville, Md. against Montgomery College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
