ACCIDENT, Md. - The Frankfort Falcons, looking to revenge losses to Northern in consecutive seasons, traveled to Accident to spoil their Homecoming however Northern was to much to handle as the Huskies won their 4th straight game 34-14.
Northern received the opening kickoff, with their opening possession at their own 30, put together a strong physical drive and at the 8:40 mark of the opening period Receiver James Spear got the scoring started as he found the endzone on a 35 yard halfback pass from Peyton Carr. Following a Frankfort punt, Northern started at their own 31 and put together another physical drive. With 3:40 left in the 1st Quarter half back Jake Rush took the toss left and found James Spear down the middle for a 30 yard touchdown to extend the Husky lead, the PAT Blocked Northern 13-Frankfort 0
Starting at their own 33, The Huskies continued having success on the ground as they put together a 5 minute 67 yard drive when Carsyn King called his own number on the Quarterback sneak from 1 yard out to cap the drive, the 2 point conversion was no good as the pass was intercepted in the endzone by J.J Blank, Northern 19-Frankfort 0
Frankfort returned the ensuing kick across midfield to the Northern 48.
The Falcons converted a 4th and 5 that extended the drive, a few players later the Falcons got on the scoreboard as Quarterback Wyatt Yates hit receiver Nick Corwell on a slant route as Corwell broke a tackle and exploded past the Husky defenders for his first touchdown of the season, PAT Good Northern 19-Frankfort 7
Northerns next possession, the Frankfort defense rose to the occasion as they forced and recovered a Northern fumble to shift momentum in their favor before halftime.
