SHORT GAP - The #4 seed Golden Tornado upset the #1 seed Frankfort Falcons 10-4. Keyser capitalized on 6 errors committed by the Falcons with timely hitting and fantastic pitching by southpaw Andrew Liller.

SHORT GAP, W.Va. - The #4 seed Keyser Golden Tornado upset the #1 seed Frankfort Falcons 10-4.  Keyser capitalized on 6 errors committed by the Falcons  with timely hitting and fantastic pitching by southpaw Andrew Liller.

In the top of the first inning Golden Tornado leadoff hitter Cam White reached 1st base on an error, reached 2nd base on an error, reached 3rd base on an error, then scored a run on a wild pitch to give the Golden Tornado a 1-0 lead. 

Frankfort responded in the bottom of the 2nd inning as Wyatt Yates & Blake Wasson scored on a hit by AJ Crist. Caleb Hare reached base on a walk, then scored a run on a wild pitch to give Frankfort a 3-1 lead.

Keyser responded in the top of the 3rd inning as Cam White made the Falcons pay for defensive mistakes once again. Cam was walked to start the inning, reached scoring position, then scored a run off another Falcon error to make the game 3-2 in favor of Frankfort.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, it became the 'Liller Hour' on the pitching mound, as the southpaw shutdown the Falcon offense giving up 0 runs in the 3rd inning, 0 runs in the 4th inning, 0 runs in the 5th inning, and 0 runs in the 6th inning. Defensively Keyser was strong behind Liller as they combined for 0 errors in 7 innings.

In the top of the 5th inning it was 'Groundhog Day' for Keyser's Cam White, again he reached 1st base, and again he made the Falcons pay by scoring another run. So how did Cam White score? On another Frankfort error! Also in the 5th inning, Austin Kitzmiller scored a run on an error. Ryan Shoemaker got a hit to score Dalton Wilt then he scored a run on a passed ball. In total, Keyser added 4 runs in the 5th, and 4 runs in the 6th inning to gain a 10-3 stranglehold over Frankfort.

In the bottom of the 7th inning John Ackerman got a hit to score AJ Crist, but the Falcon comeback was thwarted when Dalton Wilt came in to pitch and record the final out of the game to secure a 10-4 victory over Mineral County rival Frankfort.
