The 2008 Potomac State College Baseball Team will be attempting to set the single game attendance record on the campus of Potomac State College at Golden Park, on Sunday, April 27, when the Catamounts host Harford Community College for a double header.

In a game that went back-and-forth and six lead changes, the third-rated
Moorefield and Frankfort combined for 16 hits and 16 errors as the Yellow Jackets
outlasted the Falcons 11-10 at Frankfort High School.

 

Keyser combined on nine hits with Brandi Braithwaite getting four RBI's on a pair of
singles as the Golden Tornado defeated Bishop Walsh 11-2.

Keyser came back from a 7-5 deficit scoring five runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Southern 10-7, knotting a victory in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference.

Petersburg Viking boys and girls tennis teams swept past Keyser this week.

Northern continued their winning ways in dominating Frankfort in a doubleheader win that gives the top-rated Huskies 10 wins on the season and undefeated in the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference at Accident.

Former West Virginia University star running back and National Football Leaguestandout, Adrian Murrell has been selected to be the keynote speaker at the thirdannual Howard-Lincoln School Scholarship Banquet.

Allegany kept their Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference record unblemished as the Campers won a doubleheader over the Golden Tornado 3-2 and 8-3 at Keyser.

Frankfort Falcon softballers defeated Petersburg as Jasmine Morgan smacked a two-run home run and Kristi Salonish fired a three-hitter as Frankfort won its third-straight game the visiting Vikings 3-1.

The Keyser Area Ministerial Association Church League wrapped up the 2008 season on Tuesday, March 18 at the Keyser Middle School gymnasium with two exciting championship games.

Potomac State Baseball will host five games in the next three days as they host Monroe Community College for a doubleheader Saturday and a single game on Monday.

Frankfort Falcon girls won four of the five singles matches to edge
Allegany, 4-3, on the Allegany College courts on Wednesday.

The Keyser girls and boys tennis teams improved to 8-3 with wins over Mountain Ridge on Wednesday afternoon at Frostburg State University tennis courts.  The girls went 6-1 and the boys followed with a 5-2 victory.

Kaitlyn Ray struck out eight in a complete-game shutout to lead Keyser over
Hampshire Thursday.

Trailing 3-0 late in the game Potomac Stat came back with four runs in the eighth inning and tacked another in the ninth to defeat Chesapeake, 5-3, in college baseball at Chesapeake.
