Crime Solvers seeks donations to fund rewards
To the Editor:
We reported last year on becoming Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers. This has proven to be a very successful merger, expanding our boundaries and strengthening our fight on crime.
With the increase in the prison population and increased gang activities, using every tool we have helps keep our communities safe.
The Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization relying upon volunteers for daily operations. We do not receive any public funding and rely upon contributions from local businesses and citizen organizations. Without your help we cannot pay rewards for information that is needed to resolve crimes.
Crime Solvers has a toll-free number (1-877-722-4307) in addition to our local number (301-722-4300).
Crime Solvers’ mission is very simple: We pay up to $1,500 for information leading to the resolution of a crime. All sources of information are assured to be completely anonymous.
We are asking you to consider us for an annual donation and help “Take a bite out of crime.” All donations go directly to the Crime Reward Fund. There are no administrative costs except those associated with our fundraising.
We thank you for your support. Please make checks payable to: Allegany/Mineral County Crime Solvers and mail to P.O. Box 3512, LaVale, MD 21504.
