Snow needs cleared from streets, sidewalks and bridge
To the Editor:
What can we do to get the streets of Keyser cleared for parking and walking? Also the bridge to McCoole is ridiculous. I often wonder how people are to walk across the bridge if the sidewalks are still covered with gravel, salt, and hardened snow.
Who would a person hold responsible for someone having an accident: City, county, state, all three? Just because we plan to tear down the bridge we shouldn't ignore this safety issue. I am afraid that someday soon I may be going to McCoole and I will lose my whole car in a pot hole.
I heard today in downtown Keyser people were upset about not having Main Street clear for parking, as well as, not being able to get to the sidewalks.
We know that the businesses will be sued if someone is injured. This shouldn't be.
It is the city that should be clearing the way.
After all it has been more than two weeks since the first snow fall began.
