Morgantown radio station seeks votes for Children’s Hospital
To the Editor:
We have a wonderful opportunity to receive a $50,000 award to support the work of WVU Children’s Hospital in Morgantown, WV. An insurance company is sponsoring “North America’s Most Caring Radio Station” contest and the prize is $50,000. Right now, 102 WVAQ The Hit Music Channel, 101.9 out of Morgantown is in second place in the entire country. If we would band together as a state, we could easily win this money to support our children. What can you do to help? Vote, and tell your family and friends to vote too!! The voting process is very easy.
1) Go to http://radiocares.childrensmiraclenetwork.org
2) Click on Vote now.
3) Click on New Voter Create Account.
4) Enter your information to create an account. Click on Submit.
5) Type the verification words that appear on the screen. Click on Submit.
6) Next you will need to go to your email account to verify your address once you receive a message from the contest sponsors.
7) Once you have verified, log in to the site and click on “Returning Voter Login” and Vote Now.
8) When you vote, you must cast your vote for 102 WVAQ The Hit Music Channel, 101.9 because that is the station that is in second place. If we divide our votes, no entity in West Virginia will be able to win. In order to find this station’s name, you can enter 26505 in the Zip Code box when you choose Vote Now. 102 WVAQ The Hit Music Channel, 101.9 will appear near the bottom of a list of WV stations.
9) You can vote 10 times per day. You can also register every email address you have and vote 10 times per day from each of those addresses also.
Voting ends at 11:59PM on Friday, February 5. To see how we’re doing in the voting, be sure to visit the “Results” page.
Although it sounds complicated, it’s very easy to do. As I mentioned, we are in second place to a radio station in Milwaukee, WI. I urge you to show your pride in our state and help West Virginia’s kids win!
