Dear Editor:
Recently our son Darin’s daughter, Natalie Patricia, was given an assignment in her third grade class in Orange Park, Florida to write about her favorite place in the world.
It touched us since we are very proud of where we live.
I thought some of you readers might like to know what an eight-year-old that was born in Japan and lived in Hawaii for three years thinks of our state.
Sincerely,
Patricia & Mausby Rogers
Keyser
Letter from Natalie Patricia, a third-grader in Orange Park, Florida:
Most people have a special place like they to visit. Mine is the Mountain State, West Virginia. Keyser, Morgantown, and our land help make it my favorite place. Here’s why:
Keyser is a beautiful city. Keyser is probably the smallest city in West Virginia.
No wonder my Nana calls it “the safest place around.” My whole family lives in West Virginia.
Morgantown is my second favorite city in West Virginia.
The college is there and I'm always raging with excitement and dreaming of my future when I come to the college. Actually, anywhere in Morgantown is exciting. Morgantown is the most popular city in West Virginia.
Our land is awesome! It's so beautiful with the nature surrounding you. It's so large, too. I mean 25 acres is pretty big. In the very back of the lot, there is a lake full of sparkling, cool, and crisp water.
Keyser, Morgantown and our land help make West Virginia my favorite place. I wish everyone saw West Virginia the way I did – beautiful.
