I wanted to make your citizens aware of something happened involving Mineral County's government and my company Dynamic Auto Design. My company is located in Miami, Fla. and during the hurricane season we had to evacuate several times for hurricanes that fortunately missed our business.  Between the different evacuations we lost nearly a month worth of business.
At that time I decided it was best for my business to open a new warehouse out of the hurricane prone areas which would employ approximately 25 workers.  I contacted several states including West Virginia.  I worked with Jim Satterfield at the West Virginia Economic Development Office and he was extremely helpful. He suggested that I locate in the Fort Ashby Industrial Park in Mineral County.
Mineral County's government was contacted and instructed to provide an estimated lease to own on a new building in the Fort Ashby Industrial Park.
They were give 30-days to respond. I waited 6 months for a response and received none.
I then chose another location because Mineral County didn't seem to want our jobs.
My wife and I really like the area and were disappointed when were not able to locate in your county.  You have a beautiful area, a good location and a good work force.  Your county government can¹t rely on businesses to just show up. 
They must follow through on what they need to do, like getting back to me in the 30-days with a lease to own estimate.  The other areas that courted my business got back to me quickly with any information we requested to make our decision.
I hope to expand again in the future and still like your area, but you need to have a government in place that actually wants businesses.
