KEYSER - William Arden "Bill" Tichnell Jr., 66, of Funderburg Street, Keyser, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on Oct. 30, 1943, at Dawson, Md., he was a son of Juanita P. (Barnard) Tichnell, a resident of Moran Manor in Westernport, Md., and the late William Arden Tichnell Sr.
Mr. Tichnell was retired as a printer with the Mineral County Board of Education with 38 years of service. He was a 1961 graduate of Bruce High School and a 1966 graduate of Catherman's Business School, Cumberland, Md. He was Methodist by faith.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 43 years, Martha Jo (Keller) Tichnell; two daughters, Shay Arden Tichnell of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Paula Jo Tichnell and fiancé, Steven Burke, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three sisters, Pauline Foreback and husband Thomson "Tim" of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sally Tichnell and his twin, Carol Hamilton, both of Keyser; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas "Tim" Keller, Jr. and wife Carol "Punk" of Munson, Mass., Peggy Warnick and husband Philip A. and William S. "Bill" Keller and wife Candy, all of Keyser; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas J. Keller, Sr. and Ethel V. (Shay) Keller of Keyser and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, from 1-5 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Merle Correll officiating.
Interment will be in the Tichnell Family Cemetery, Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, Md.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
