Robert H. Thompson
ROMNEY — Robert Hank Thompson, 47, of Fox Hollow Road, Romney, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on Nov. 27, 1961, at Romney, W.Va., he was a son of Betty Ann (Eichelberger) Thompson of Romney and the late Lawrence Ocie Thompson. He also was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ocie and Jessie Thompson and David and Ava Eichelberger.
Mr. Thompson was formerly employed as a timberman and attended the Community Bible Assembly of God Church, Romney. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed collecting firearms.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife, Amanda Sue (Flick) Thompson; his daughter, Lucrisha Anne Thompson, at home; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Dennison officiating.
