Loretta J. Shuck, 58, of Rawlings, MD, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
Born on February 26, 1951 at Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late Everett F. Taylor and Mary E. (Lough) Taylor Mayhew. She also was preceded in death by her stepfather, Olan Mayhew; two brothers, Richard Lee and Harvey Lee Taylor and a sister, Hazel Reddington.
Mrs. Shuck was a homemaker and was formerly employed with both R.G's and Sheetz Convenience Stores in Keyser. She was an avid archer and bowler and enjoyed playing bingo. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she reveled in the holiday traditions.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Frederick M. "Rick" Shuck; one daughter, Carol Ann Shuck and partner Shawn Whetzel of Keyser; three brothers, Roy Taylor of Hedgesville, WV, David Taylor of Lebanon, PA and J.R. Taylor of Rawlings; three sisters, Helen Ezzell of Beulahville, NC, Dottie Parish of Yucca Valley, CA and Margie Haines of McCoole, MD; two grandchildren, Chad Shuck and fiancée, Tiffanie Iser and Brittany Kline; a number of nieces and nephews and her special companion and dog "Fluke."
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Shuck Family Cemetery, Rawlings, MD.
