Oscar H. Clark, 59, of Connellsville, died at his residence with his loving family by his side Monday, August 18, 2008 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  He was born September 1, 1948 in Huntington, WV a son of Oscar Clark and the late Zelphia "Betty" Clark Adkins.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Billie Clark and a stepfather, Bernie Adkins.  Mr. Clark retired as a supervisor from Anchor Glass after 34 years of service.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served as a BT3 aboard the USS Lexington until his honorable discharge in 1969.  He was a member of the Polish Independent Club of Connellsville and was Baptist by faith.  Surviving are his wife, Bertha B. (Johnson) Clark; 3 children, Stephen Clark & wife Valeta of Nokomis, FL, Angela D. Clark & husband Jody and Sean R. Clark both of Uniontown, PA; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Bradley, Samantha, Seth, Calvin and Caelin Clark; a half-sister, Cheryl Jose of Keyser WV; a stepbrother, Rick Hatfield & wife Debbie of Cincinnati, OH and a stepsister, Jill Journell & husband James of Proctorville, OH. 
Friends will be received Wednesday 1-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave McElroy officiating.  Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, with full military rites accorded at graveside by the VFW Post 21 and American Legion Posts 301 and 762.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Autism Foundation.
