Betty L. Couch
Betty Lee (Ellifritz) Decker Couch, 73, Ocala, Florida, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at her residence.
Born on November 24, 1935 at Antioch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Harry B. and Edna (Catlett) Ellifritz. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Devilbliss and Judith Reynolds; five brothers, Harry Ellifritz, Jr., George Ellifritz, James Ellifritz, Harold (Pete) Ellifrtiz and an infant, William Ellifritz and by three grandchildren.
Mrs. Couch attended Keyser High School and was retired from the bakery department of Winn Dixie in Ocala.
She is survived by her husband, Donald I. Couch of Ocala; her children, Lorna Decker, Dennis Decker and Joseph Couch, all of Ocala, Susan Decker of Allegan, MI, Valerie Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Hebert of Morgan City, LA; three brothers, Robert Ellifritz of Clayton, NC and Frederick Ellifritz and Samuel Ellifritz both of New Creek, WV; six sisters, Juanita Whittaker of Petersburg, WV, Jean Heckert of Romney, WV, Bonnie Jenkins and Lois Rorhbaugh, both of Keyser, Mary Canan of Antioch, WV and Patsy High of Purgitsville, WV; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek, on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James "Sonny" Dodds officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474.
