Marietta Millar Neff
      KEYSER, WV - Marietta Millar Neff, 90, passed away March 14, 2010 at Pine Meadows Health Care in Lexington, KY. 
     Born on July 20, 1919 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Ella May (Ansel) Millar.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Walter Neff, and her brothers, Charles Andrew, Woodruth Blue, Eugene Decker, and Andrew Jackson Millar. 
     Marietta graduated from Keyser High School and lived in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore before returning to Mineral County to help her aging parents run the family farm.  After the death of her parents, she lived in Keyser where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church.  She was an artist with the needle and hook creating crocheted doilies, embroidered scarves, and afghans that will continue to grace the homes of friends and family.  And just as artful in the kitchen where she filled many a mouth with joy.   
     She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Sue Ella and Herman Long of Cumberland, MD and Jeri Welsh and Samuel Higginbotham of Lexington, KY;  four grandchildren, Andrea Bishop of Cumberland, MD, Charles (Kristi) Long of Keyser, WV, John and Woody Higginbotham of Lexington, KY; one great grandchild, Skylar Long  and a sister-in-law, Ruth Millar of Keyser.
     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Funeral Services will be conducted following the visitations at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Shawn Twigg officiating.
     Interment will follow in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser, W.Va. 
     Pallbearers will be Andrea Bishop, Charles Long, John Higginbotham, Woody Higginbotham, Jerry Ashenfelter, and William Kuykendall.    .
