Terrance “Terry” Davy
KEYSER - Terrance S. "Terry" Davy, 38, of Rt. 6, Keyser, W.Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, Md.
Born on May 16, 1971, at Cumberland, Md., he was a son of Robert L. Davy of Piedmont, W.Va., and Ann V. (Shoemaker) Davy of Keyser. Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Geraldine "Jerry" Shoemaker; Naomi Davy; and an uncle, Leo Shoemaker.
Mr. Davy was a 1989 graduate of Westmar High School and attended Towson State University. He was employed in the telemarketing industry and was a member of the Danville Community Church, Rawlings, Md.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Dorothy M. (Vaneman) Davy; one stepson, Wyatt Vaneman, at home; a brother, Daryl Davy of Frostburg, Md.; a niece, Alyssa Davy of Philadelphia, Pa.; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Vaneman of Spotsylvania, Va.; his best friend, Dennis Crites of Lima, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Miller and Randy Shoemaker officiating.
Interment will be in the Old Pine Cemetery, Purgitsville, W.Va.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the family for a trust fund for Terry's stepson, Wyatt. Contributions should be mailed to Rt. 6, Box 6010, Keyser, WV 26726.
